| Yangshuo Impression of Liusanjie Located at the joining point of Lijiang River and Tianjia River, the theatre faces the widely-known Scholar's page Hill across the river. Its auditorium looks like a green terrace with a panorama vision where the audience can enjoy natural scenery within an area of 2 kms along the river and the performance. Lighting and stereo sets are designed by covert means in order to integrate with the nature. There are 2000 seats for the audience, of which 1800 are for the ordinary people, 180 for VIP's and 20 for presidents. |

| Cormorant fishing |
| Cormorant fishing is unique in China. This way of fishing has been existing for hundreds of years. The birds do fishing much better at night than at day time. People sometimes see lights on bamboo rafts in the river. That will be the fisherman who use cormorants to fish for extra income. It is a rare opportunity to get a close look at the fishing and people always wonder how these birds fish for people. |
Those who are interested will get the answer and experience after they make reservation. People will be on aboard of a big boat with passenger capacity of 30 to 60 pax. It drifts with the bamboo rafts following. So that tourists can watch the performance clearly. Under the order form fisherman, the well-trained cormorants will dive into water to find fish and catch them. They are so good at diving that they can go under water for quite a long time. When they succeed in getting any fish, they will proudly swim back to the raft and show off to the fisherman. The fisherman usually award one or two tiny fish to encourage them. Of course, the birds also swallow the small fish they catch. Sometimes they do get big carps that weigh 3 to 4 pounds. With the straw or rope tied around their necks, they would not swallow these big fish they catch. To some extent, this is quite cruel and unfair to the birds. The poor birds work for man, not for themselves!

| Cruise of Two Rivers and Four Lakes |
| Li River, Taohua River, Shahu Lake, Guihu Lake and the newly dug Mulong Lake are connected and linked up. The waterway transportation makes up of Guilin's central round-the-city water systems. It's called 'Two River and Four Lakes'. More than 1,000 years ago, there has formed in Guilin a complete moat river system. Tour and Recreation on water had been very much in a fashion in the Tang and Song Dynasty. However, as history deposited, the river courses were silted up and rivers and lakes were separated and hindered. Hence the water quality became bad and cultural relics were buried. |
| Now, the Two Rivers and Four Lakes has been dredged and made into a combination of historical and modern culture and a galaxy of natural landscape and ecological harmony between man and nature. The wonderful scene of the water city as described in the poem 'a thousand hills stand around the city, with a river flows through it' reappears. |
