1.Suhua Lake
In Muni Valley, the lives of trees, aquatic life and flowers intertwine. Trees grow in the lakes, and water flows freely in the woods. But Suhua Lake, where tender flowers live inside the water, is the most stunning of all. In the spring, visitors can see the flowers, with their slender stems and tiny blooms, floating on the lake's surface.
2. Boiling Pearl Hot Spring
The hot spring provides a relaxing hot spa for tourists. The sulphur in the spring has proven therapeutic, and the hot spring is the only such facility in the whole of Huanglong Scenic Area.
3. Zhaga Waterfall - The biggest calcium fall in China
At 110 meters high and 40 meters wide, the Zhaga Waterfall is the biggest calcium fall in China. The waterfall offers alternating vistas during each season of the year. If you come to Muni Valley in spring or summer, for example, you may find the waterfall reflects a charming blue color. |
-Jiuzhaigou valley is dominated by three drainages, Rize and Zechawa streams which flow from south to north, meeting at the centre of the site to form the Shuzheng which drops 1,000m to the north end of the reserve. There it meets the Zharu stream flowing north-west from the eastern boundary to form the Jiuzhaigou river, one of the sources of the Jialing river, part of the Yangtze River system. There are 114 lakes, 47 springs,17 groups of waterfalls, 11 rapids and 5 tufa shoals within the reserve. |
